HUMMINBIRD SMARTCAST RF35 FISHFINDER
HUMMINBIRD SMARTCAST RF35
$10 MAIL-IN REBATE EXPIRES: 12/31/09
Have you ever wished to know if there were any fish around when fishing from shore or if you move the boat 100ft from it’s current location? Well here is what you have been looking for. The SmartCast RF35 wrist mount provides a dual function fishfinder and watch with go anywhere design.
Wireless Sonar
Single Beam Sonar Wireless fishfinders utilize a revolutionary sensor/transducer called the Remote Sonar Sensor (RSS). The remote sonar sensor weighs approx one ounce and is cast into the water as you would a normal fishing lure using a standard fishing rod/reel. The RSS is completely waterproof. The RSS transmits and receives sonar signals to determine the water depth, the presence of fish and structure and then uses a wireless link to transmit that data to the sonar display.
SmartCast technology expands your ability to find fish, structure and depth to wherever you cast the wireless Remote Sonar Sensor (RSS). Just tie our patented RSS onto your fishing line and cast out - you’ll see bottom readings instantly appear on the display just like a traditional fishfinder. With Wireless Remote Sonar, you’ll get:
Rugged, waterproof RSS with internal battery, sonar transmitter & receiver, and wireless transmitter back to a display.
Graphing Mode to profile the bottom and look for fish and structure as your reel in, or Fishing Mode that lets you watch fish react to your bait presentation when it's stationary.
Wide 90° beam for greatest coverage to spot game fish, bait fish and structure.
From 75’ - 150’ of wireless operating range depending on product model.
Replaceable Remote Sonar Sensor with up to 400 hours of non-continuous in-water use of the RSS
SmartCast "Advanced RSS" models provide water temperature, strobe light for night fishing, selectable wireless channel A or B operation, up to 500 hours battery life and 4 level grayscale when used in conjunction with a grayscale capable display model.
Fishing Application:
- When fishing under docks, piers and buoys, cast your RSS out to see if fish are present before committing to an area that may not be productive.
- Check out potentially productive fishing spots without spooking the fish with the sounds and shadows of your boat – just cast your RSS in a couple times to look for suspended fish.
- When operating in shallows or in changing tidal conditions, cast out to check the depth – you may avoid dinging a prop or grounding the boat.
- Rig your planner boards with an RSS and keep an eye one the bottom display and fish so you know you’re running your planner in the most productive areas.
- When fishing from the bank or dock, cast out and profile the area along the shoreline to look for drop-offs and structure that hold fish – move on and concentrate elsewhere if you don’t find fish or structure.
- Upgrade any Fishing System model with the Wireless Sonar Link to get all the advantage of SmartCast technology on the big, easy-to-see screen of your main unit.
